An East African Major is an officially sanctioned marathon that forms part of the EAMAJORS series. Each Major meets strict organizational, safety, and course standards, ensuring a world-class racing experience across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
You earn one star for each official East African Major you finish. Complete all six marathons (Nairobi, Mombasa, Kampala, Jinja, Dar es Salaam, and Arusha) to claim the prestigious Six Star Medal and join an elite community of finishers.
Yes! The Majors warmly welcome international participants from around the world. Each race's entry page provides detailed information about travel requirements, visa information, accommodation options, and any qualification standards. We celebrate running's global community.

There's no time limit! Complete all six majors at your own pace, whether that's within a single year or over several seasons. Your progress is tracked through your runner profile, and you can claim your Six Star Medal once all six races are finished.
